PRO’s Weekly Report – 13th December 2010
TURKEYS.
The following were the winners of turkeys to-date: Michael Flynn, Kevin Farrell(2), Tom Archbold, Paddy Gorman, Watty Kenny; Mary Carroll, Michael Buckley, Martin Carroll, Niall Cuffe, Mick Heffernan & Martin Carter. There was a competition on Sunday 12th inst. but I don’t have results to hand. Unfortunately the competitions fell foul of the weather on the previous 2 Sundays because of severe frost and snow. Sunday next the 19th will finalise the Turkey Competitions. Each person is asked to bring along some suitable Christmas fare for a prize so that everyone will get something. There will also be 2 birds on offer. Hopefully the weather will oblige.
CHRISTMAS RAFFLE.
We have cards on sale at the moment for a Big Christmas Hamper and other Christmas goods. Draw will take place on Sunday next after the Competitions so please put in a big effort to sell as many lines as possible as we are in bad need of money.
CHRISTMAS WHIST.
The above will be held in the Clubhouse on Monday night the 20th December (weather permitting). We hope to have a good turn out at same as we will have our Raffle for Charity with a good few prizes including a Hamper.
AGM
Unfortunately our AGM had to be postponed because of inclement weather on the 5th December. No new date has been fixed yet.
