PRO’s Weekly Report – 20th January 2013

 

JOE BRAY LEAGUES.

The draw for the above has now been made and the following are the teams:

TEAM B:    Anne Kelly, Ml. Flynn & Des Carter.

TEAM C:   Kevin Farrell, Ena Clinton & Watty Kenny.

TEAM  D:   Martin Carter, George Carolan & Mary Carroll.

TEAM E:    Rene Bloem, Ml. Heffernan & Martin Carroll.

TEAM F:    Larry McGinn, Charlie Nolan & Moira Nugent.

TEAM G:   Patrick Bardon, Ml. Scally & Kay Bray.

TEAM H:   John Browne, Garry Middleton & Leo Ryan.

TEAM I:    Eddie Hockey, Stuart Tarleton & Clive Byrne.

As you can see we have 9 teams of 3 which is a great entry. Competition will commence on Sunday next the 27th with a 1 p.m. (sharp start).   Entry is 15 euro per person or 45 euro per team  which is payable up front.  The competition will run over 3 weeks with the top 3 teams going head to head on the 4th week. Kathleen Bray is sponsoring the winners prizes and John Browne is sponsoring the runners/up. We are grateful to them for their kind sponsorship. The competition will run alternately to the Alliances.

WHIST.

On Monday night last the 14th we held our monthly Whist. The following is a full list of results of same:

1st Lady:  (tie)  Margaret Fox & Betty Porter.

Highest Half (lady):   Mary O’Connor & Brigey Heery.

Highest half (gent):   Charlie Dermody & Sean Murphy.

Longest Sitter:   Michael Lennon.

Last  5 games (lady):    Ena Clinton.

Last 5 games (gent):   Tommie Gaffney.

Raffle Winners:   Rita Gaffney, Val Goldrick, Mary O’Connor and Brigey Heerey.

Again thanks to all who helped out on the night and to all who came along to support us.   We had 9 tables which was great.

CONGRATULATIONS.

Congratulations to Martin Carter from our club who will be the Team Manager for the Inter County teams for the coming year and we wish him  the best of luck.

Also congratulations are in order for Peter Dolan & Michelle on the birth of their little baby girl recently.

SYMPATHY.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Alan Hanlon on the death of his brother-in-law Tony Harris last week.

We also extend deepest sympathy to Chris Corrigan & family, Ranaghan on the death of his mother recently.   May they both rest in peace.
