PRO’s Weekly Report – 24th March 2013

 

WHIST.

We held the final Whist of this season on Monday  night last the 18th. We had a great crowd of 10 tables which was brilliant considering the cold frosty night that was in it. The following is a full list of the prizewinners:

TOP SCORE:   (3 way tie) Mary O’Connor,  Tommie Murphy and Pat Smith.

2nd Lady:   Eva Mara

2nd Gent:   Eddie Clinton.

Highest Half (lady):   Maura Carty.

Highest Half (gent):   Charlie Lynch/Murphy.

Last 5 games (lady):   Ann Davis

Last 5 games (gent):   Mary McCormack (playing as gent).

Lowest Score:   Tommie Gaffney.

Longest sitter:   Betty McGrath.

RAFFLE:   Rita Gaffney, Mary O’Connor, Charlie Dermody, Noel Leonard & Pat Smith.

Thanks to all who helped with the running of the Whists over the past 7 months. Thanks to Mary, Ena & Kathleen who looked after the catering etc. Thanks to Ann Davis & Eva Mara who  checked the scores at the end of the night. We are taking a break now for the summer months as the  game of pitch & putt takes over and hopefully we will see you all come September (please God).

SEAN COYNE MEMORIAL .

Unfortunately  the weather was the spoilsport at the weekend  when all our competitions fell foul of the weather. The above competition was to have been played on Saturday last but had to be postponed. The new date is Sunday 14th April at 12 noon in Collinstown but if there is any change you will be notified.

FINAL OF THE LEAGUES.

This competition has been cancelled on two ocassions already and has now been rescheduled for Monday next the 1st April at 5 pm and will have to go ahead whether players are missing or not.

MEETING.

Our monthly meeting will be held on Tuesday next the 2nd April at 7. 30 pm.  Normally we have our meetings on Monday nights but as its a bank holiday it will be held on the Tuesday night.
