PRO’s Weekly Report – 30th December 2012
TURKEY COMPETITIONS.
The final competition took place on Sun. 16th. The winners that day were Michael Flynn & Michael Scally. The other winners over the 10 weeks or so were as follows: Stuart Tarleton, Alan Hanlon (2), Martin Carter (2), Moira Nugent, Paddy Gorman (3), Michael Scally (2), Liam Buckley, Michael Flynn and John Flanagan. Thanks to Martin Carter who ran the competitions and to all who played. Hope you all enjoyed your prizes.
ALLIANCES.
Sunday next the 6th January will see the first of the County Board Alliances and the venue will be Collinstown. It will be a 3 person Scramble and starting time is between 11. 30 am. and 1 p.m.
WINTER LEAGUES.
The Joe Bray Winter Leagues will commence in January and the draw for same will be on the 20th Jan. If you wish to play in same please contact the Competition Secretary or put your name on the Sheet which is in the Clubhouse at present. This is a great competition and is sponsored by Kathleen Bray & Family in honour of the late Joe.
WHIST DRIVE.
Our Christmas Whist was held on Monday the 17th December. We had 9 tables which was great. The following is the result of same:

Highest Half (Gent): Pat Davis.
Sitter: Sheila Robinson.
Lowest Score: Eva Mara.
Raffle Winners: Anne Darcy, Kit Lee, Peter Gilsenan, Michael Lennon, Bridie Kelly (3), Phil Shaw, Charlie Dermody, Noel Leonard, Ena Clinton, Sheila Robinson & Mary O’Connor.
Thanks to all who helped out on the night. Thanks to Alma who gave us a hand and to Susan Bray who gave a lovely Hamper and to all who gave prizes for the raffle on the night which was for Moter Neuron and we raised 300 euro for same which was wonderful.
Our next Whist will be on the 21st January 2013.

MEETING.
Our first meeting of the New Year will be held on Monday 7th January at 7. 30 p.m. (Please note earlier time).

Congrats to Mark Briody who was married recently.
SYMPATHY.
We send our deepest sympathy to Martin Carroll & Mary on the untimely death of Martin’s sister Nancy Neville on Christmas Eve. May she rest in peace.
